Control Options

Drop down list on the order page shows the different options for each type of pickguards.

We offer many different options for controls.

  • Blade switch mount holes can be countersunk or not contersunk
  • Gibson style toggle switch
  • Mini toggle to match pickup count
  • Rhythm Circuit

Pickguard Edge Cut Options

  • Pickguard edge beveled 30 degree (add popup page to PDF File with measurements and specs)
  • Pickguard edge beveled roundover (add popup page to PDF File with measurements and specs)

What is a countersunk hole?

A countersunk hole is when a drilled hole has a countersunk bevel.  This is to accommodate the taper of the mounting screw and create a flush surface.  Generally the pickguard mounting holes are countersunk (the perimeter holes of a pickguard that hold the pickguard to the guitar) however the pickup mounting holes, blade switch holes can be either countersunk or not.  It varies with each guitars and players and is more of what you prefer.

Acoustic mounting adhesive

We use a 3M industry standard double sided, peal and stick adhesive for our acoustic pickguards. Generally most acoustic pickguard are installed this way and electric and bass guitars are installed with mounting screws. If you want to avoid mounting screws on an electric or bass guitar we can add a 3M industry standard double sided, peal and stick adhesive to the pickguard.

Special Instructions

This is where specific instructions regarding the order are added. Info for pickup specifications for pickups not listed, control layout specifications if different than the ordering options available or any note or remarks regarding the order. This is NOT the place for ordering a “similar” pickguard and requesting a different style, year or model number, this is considered a custom order and you need to contact us directly. If the pickguard style is not on the web site we may not have the template or the templates are not standard.
