Customization

Terrapin Guitars has a wide variety of pickguard templates and a large selection of materials with something for just about anyone who has a guitar, bass or acoustic guitar. Along with the ability to fabricate a black/white/black standard Fender® Strat® style pickguard we also customize pickguards, truss rod covers, pickup adapters and other guitar parts and so much more.  

We have also fabricated lap steel fret boards, ukulele pickguards, amp logos, band logos, 3D business signs and so much more, even a pickguard for Guitar Hero guitar and can help with a new design or small production run of pickguard.

We can laser engrave text, graphics, images or even your signature on some of our pickguard materials as well as glass, wood, leather and mark on metal. We have engraved all styles of pickguards from acoustic, electric, bass and even truss rod covers using a variety of materials. 

Thinking outside the box is what we do best.  With experience in many different mediums, processes and procedures we often apply different ideas to a custom project.

PRINTING IMAGES ON PICKGUARDS

We also work with a local printing company who has the ability to print on most of the pickguard material and have it UV protected as well as scratch resistant.  This allows custom artwork to be printed on pickguard material and then fabricated into a pickguard.

•  Artwork must be your own (not “borrowed” off the web or from an artist, just as music is protected so is artwork.  We respect all forms of artists and will not reproduce artwork without the original artist consent or artist compensations.
• ABSOLUTLY NO image downloaded from the internet is allowed.  The resolutions are not quality enough for high quality printing and the finished product will not look good.  The image may look ok on a monitor but it will not look good printed.
• The image, artwork or picture should be high resolution of at least 300 dpi
  
  
• Modification, revision, design time is extra charge on top of the artwork fee and pickguard cost.  The charge will depend on the complexity, amount of time and effort it takes for us to make it ready for printing and fitting onto a pickguard.
  
  
• Image should be in CMYK color mode.  The printing process and finial image will be the most accurate for colors and shades.  Different color modes might look the same but print much different.
  
  
• Terrapin Guitars reserves the right to not work with any images not to our specifications as well as current work load.  If the image is not a high enough resolution, not original artwork or requires a lot of modification we won’t take on the order.
